This film is scheduled to shoot Monday through Friday in Detroit and the surrounding areas starting on June 27th and will last 7 weeks. The film is set in the Detroit area in 1974 and stars Brendan Fraser, Matt Dillon and Sienna Miller.

Plot:

Set in 1974, a pair of ’60s radicals rely on their bomb-making skills on their way to becoming capitalists.

Casting hispanic males and two very attractive hispanic females for a scene in the feature film “Amerikan Violence”. This is a gritty detroit scene type of movie.  “Amerikan Violence” will be shooting for the next 2 months in Royal Oak, MI.

Non-deferred payment. We are definitely wanting to pay everyone a good amount of money but we won’t know until the film is completed and pushed out to dvd and possibly theaters.

Marvel Studios Feature Film Open Casting Call

An open casting call for extras is being held for the feature film, “The Avengers”. Portions of this comic book superhero adventure film will be shot in Cleveland, Ohio. The production will be the largest feature film ever made in Ohio, as well as the largest Marvel Studios production to date. Pre-production is already underway with principal photography scheduled from April through September 2011. “The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson.

Casting Lead and Supporting Roles

We are currently looking for actors to audition for a scene from a short film titled, “Fortuity”. The lead role is very dynamic! This person must be able to show a variety of emotion simultaneously and deliver their lines with confidence. Serious acting chops are a must! A casting call will be held on Saturday June 25th, 2011 from 9:00am – 4:00pm.

Scene Details:

Approximate run-time: 5:00 minutes
Content: Bad language, yes, however it’s tasteful and detrimental to the story and character’s development.
Location: Center stage of a vacant theatre

Available Roles:

• Lead Male/Student: Mid 20’s, male, any ethnicity. A confident man in his mid twenties that you would meet at a university. For this scene, the character is a very likeable, smart man with solid comedic delivery. While maintaining these attributes, the audience is unable to determine if he is pure evil, or in fact “on to something” in his very dark, angry portion of his monologue.

• MFA Department Head One: Looks 30’s+, male or female, any ethnicity. Genuine, to the point, nonchalant, oblivious to the content of the monologue.

• MFA Department Head Two: Looks 30+, male or female, any ethnicity. The counterpart to the smug Dept Head 1. Serves as the subtle, yet effective, comic relief to content of the monologue that he clung onto with every word. He relieves the tension through his dialogue with Dept Head 1 as the scene comes to a close, which is soon fully reinstated as we fade to black.

Compensation:

For this scene we offer no compensation with the exception of lunch, however, this scene is going to be used for funding purposes to film the short, “Fortuity”. Our crew is professional and this is not a student production. This scene will be seen by our professional contacts in the industry in LA, Detroit, NY, Atlanta.

Casting Call for Speaking Roles

Casting actors for speaking roles for the “Purple Gang” movie teaser. An open casting call will be held on Monday, June 13th in Ferndale, MI.

The teaser is scheduled to be shot on June 18th and 19th, 2011 in Saginaw Michigan and the surrounding areas. This teaser is being produced to gather interest for a full-length movie based upon the 1920’s Purple Gang that ran Detroit, Michigan throughout the prohibition period. Once the teaser is complete, funding will be sought for the full-length feature.

Plot Outline: (Teaser)

When Ray Bernstein goes to collect an unpaid debt for booze, Slip, an informant, tips the gang off of the location of the debtors. The debtors are the ones who are cutting booze in a remote, secluded area. Ray shows up with his gang, and shows he is one of history’s most ruthless mob bosses.

• Sneaky Pete (male, 18-30) – runs booze cutting operation and a homemade still. gets maimed and killed.
