Casting Voice Over Talent and Understudies

Starchild Productions is now casting for voice over talent and understudies only, for the stage play “Urban Wine”. With the exception of Officer Gibbs, all major roles are for African Americans. We will be casting by the end of the month. Production date is tentatively scheduled for February 2, 2013.

Plot:

A convicted murderer and former drug lord serving a natural life sentence for murder, receives a letter from his old high school sweetheart who is now a writer, working on a story of what society calls a dying breed which is the black man. After several letters, phone calls and visits, Kato falls in love with Moon and decides to re-open his case.

Available Roles:

• Kato: Lead Role – African American – Mid 30’s to early 40’s (or can look it) Kato counsels the young men within the prison system throughout the state of Michigan. He’s a self- educated and reformed Malcolm X type of character looking for atonement for his life’s actions as a killer and drug dealer from the streets of southwest Detroit. (Very dramatic role.)

• Moon: Lead Role – African American – Mid 30’s to early 40’s (or can look it) is a Writer and Community Activist. Moon is very passionate about raising awareness on the current condition of the Southwest Detroit community. Much to her surprise, she finds herself becoming emotionally involved with Kato.

• Freedom: Lead Role – African American – Early 20’s, is Kato’s cell mate and student serving a three year sentence. Freedom looks up to Kato like an older brother but, his arrogance soon gets him into more trouble than he can handle.

• Tracey: Supporting Role – African American – mid 30’s to early 40’s is Moon’s best friend. Tracey is a caring person and is very protective of Moon. Tracey is a bit apprehensive about the nature of Moons relationship to Kato.

• Ripp: Supporting Role – Mid 30’s, is a slick talking self-centered villain who wants to over throw Kato’s reign within the prison. Ripp will do anything to gain power & control over the other inmates.

• Officer Gibbs: White Male – Early 30’s, is a Correctional Officer who rules his unit with an iron fist. Gibbs is known for his sarcastic and no nonsense approach throughout his career at the prison.

• Frankie: Early 20’s – Kato’s victim and childhood friend.

• Pregnant Woman: Mid to late 20’s – Kato’s victim.

• Inmate Jones: Teenager – Young boy convicted of murder.

• Voice of God: Age mid-thirties & up. Strong, deep authoritative voice needed.

• Lil Boys Voice: Ages 9 – 12

Compensation:

This is a paying gig based on experience level and size of role.

Casting Lead & Supporting Roles

FireFly Films is casting actors for the film, “The ID”. Shooting is scheduled for January 2013 for one weekend and will continue in April 2013. Auditons will be held in December 2012 in the Greater Detroit Area.

Plot:

Nya’s world is turned upside down when the guy she’s dating disappears, returning the ID of her she gave him months prior. When she learns the truth, her life will forever be changed.

Available Roles:

• Nya: (Lead) African American, must look mid 20′s to early 30′s. Physique: Fit, Muscular, medium, and tall build. Shoulfer length to long hair. She ran track in high school and was a very popular girl. Nya is free spirited, a commitment-phobe, but a very confident woman. She is beautiful and she knows it. No nudity but actress must feel comfortable with seductive scenes.

• Rayven: (Supporting) African American, must look mid 20′s to early 30′s. She is Nya’s best friend. She is the voice of reason. She is naturally beautiful.

• Dwight: (Supporting) African American, late 20′s to early 30′s. Roommate to the male lead. Suave, clean cut, and a very good friend.

Compensation:

Talent will be paid $50/day.

Christian Dior – Holiday Product Specialist Model Call

Auditions will be held Tomorrow October 30^th at 3PM at the Oakland Mall

Please go to the Christian Dior counter in Macy’s to be considered

There are no specs given but talent must be able to drive and must be dependable!

This is an audition to be a product specialist for the holidays starting Nov – Dec. This job is to represent Christian Dior in Macy’s stores across Metro Detroit .This is a paying job and you will also receive some free product from the company. Pay is TBD. Girls – Wear audition blacks pin striped black skirt, black heals, fitted black top, tucked in is preferred, black belt acceptable, hair pulled back, have makeup done nicely. Guys-  black dress pants, black dress shoes, black tucked in t-shirt, no graphics, black dress belt. You will be required to walk runway, and say a script. You will be interacting with customers throughout the store, selling different promotional product lines for the holidays so keep that in mind and please be personable. Go to Christian Dior counter at 3pm and ask for Elyse or Kris make sure you tell them you’re from Your Entourage Agency. One of us will be there to make sure everything runs smoothly. Casting Call for Zombie Extras

“Dayplanner of the Dead” is a zombie comedy that has already garnered media attention. This short film features Hollywood wardrobe and SFX artists as well as actors from the classic “Night of the Living Dead”. We are looking for zombie extras for Thursday, November 1 (an indoor shoot) and also for Saturday, October 27 (outdoor shoot; backup weather day 11/3) in Flint, MI.

Available Roles:

• Zombie Extras: Male or female, open ethnicity. You will need to wear your own clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Your makeup will be done for you.

Synopsis:

Rumors of Wars is a redemptive thriller with two converging storylines. Roxy, an aspiring college journalist, finds herself searching for answers when she investigates end time prophecies for a term paper. Recording her research in a diary, her findings prove to have more of an impact than she could have ever imagined.

Her diary is discovered years later, in the rubble of a post apocalypse society filled with decay and violence. With the truth of what really happened to the world in its pages, the book finds its way into to the hands of an officer in the New World Army. But what will he do with this new found truth?

On November 17, 2012 World Fame-Us Hot Spot Entertainment Studios will be filming a music video at The Palace of Auburn Hills for an MMA themed song titled “The Ring” by recording artist Kulayd featuring the rock band Sweet Crystal. We are looking for MMA fighters and actors who would like to be showcased within the music video. The video will be filmed by former Fox 2 news assignment editor Brian Lucas of Plymouth, Michigan. The production is sponsored by Donofrio MMA.
