atomSTUDIOS is an upcoming independent film studio, and we are looking for talent to film a short 45 minute long movie. Shooting will start in the Grand Rapids area towards the beginning of May and auditions will be starting Mid April.

Available Roles:

• Approximately 17 male actors ages 23 – 28 to portray an inner city gang.

• 1 Male Hero

• 1 Male Villain

These are not paid roles. The film will be shown in numerous film festivals, talent will have full accreditation and are encouraged to put this piece in their portfolios and receive a copy of the film.

Film Cast and Crew Needed

Corbus Films is looking for cast and crew for a very unique horror film. A casting call will be held on Saturday, April 16th at 1:00PM in the Southfield area . Open Casting for Actors

The Motion Picture Institute in holding an open audition for roles in student films on Saturday, April 16th from 12:00pm – 4:00pm in Troy, MI. Experienced actors are preferred, but all levels are welcomed. Open Auditions are held twice per year. Our next Open call will be held in Winter 2011 (date: TBA).

The Motion Picture Institute (MPI) is Michigan’s oldest and most reputable full-curriculum Film Trade School. For more than a decade, our graduates films have found success in the Independent film industry, on the film festival circuit, and gained nationwide distribution.

Audition Details:

• MPI will supply your reads. Please advise us of any special skills/talents

• No sides/reads/scripts available in advance

• All minors must be accompanied by a parent

• You will be auditioning for several different student directors

• Individual directors will conduct call-backs

• All ages welcomed. All ethnicities/types welcomed

• Plan for long lines. Light refreshments provided, but keep this in mind especially if you are bringing children or have special needs.

In pre-production for a low/no budget, 40-45 minute short entitled, “The Intervention.” Based on actual events in the mid 1970s, the script may be amended to the present to avoid costly staging. The story unfolds over a 24-hr time frame except a flash forward six months for one scene. Talent and crew can expect to film over a three-week period September-October, mostly weekends.

Singer/songwriter Charlene Kaye’s new hit song “Oh, Howard!” is being made into a music video this summer. Kaye, who frequently collaborates with Glee star Darren Criss, has had success writing music since graduating from the University of Michigan.

The music video will be shot in Ann Arbor between May 25 and May 28. More specific times will be provided as the date approaches.
