Need several actresses for speaking positions in medical education video filming in August 2011. Each participant will be needed for 1 to 2 days. Filming will take place in Detroit and Troy, MI. This position is ok for beginners or students, but applicants should have some performance experience.

• Actresses: Age 16-50, Must be able to communicate effectively and answer questions during interviews with out a script.

These are paid roles. Payment of $450 is made the day of filming.

Casting Extras for the Union Series

The Union Series is looking for extras for a shoot on Saturday, July 16th in Detroit, MI.

Plot:

A crime story set in the rusted great city of Detroit as three crime families plot against one another to gain control of the city. The Galdwin’s, steep in old world Italian traditions, who through the years are now just a shadow of their former greatness. Now led by Stella Galdwin, the granddaughter of the great visionary crime-boss Adama Galdwin, she seeks to restore her family legacy and move the family into the 21st century no matter the costs. In the city, two gangs battle for control of the streets, Joseph “King” Leo and his two sons, Damon and Redball are on the edge of war with their former allies Marco and Donna Paige. Meanwhile, London Clark, a former US army Ranger now a Galdwin enforcer with his partner Claire, and computer expert Sands must hunt for a former Mossad agent, Milla Grey. Milla and her mysterious employer slowly emerge to become a major factor in the city. A player who may have deeper roots in Detroit’s past then anyone can imagine. Loyalty will be tested, bonds broken, but at the end of the day their can be one at the very top of Detroit.

Glass Cage Productions Open Auditions for Actors

Glass Cage Productions is holding open auditions for actors and extras for an action drama short film, “Round 2″. Filming starts in late August, 2011. Shooting will take place on weekends and some weeknights.

Available Roles:

• JASON – A hard worker who has dealt with a tough upbringing. He plans to move on and start a better life with his girlfriend Nicole.

• WALTER – Prodigal son who returns home seeking help from Jason. His only good quality, he never lies.

• NICOLE – Girlfriend of Jason. She’s newly pregnant with his child. She has a great relationship with her family therefore wants Jason to reconcile with Walter.

• RICARDO – Underground kingpin who holds prize fights for dirty money. No second chances when working for Ricardo. (Doesn’t have to have a large frame).

• NICK – Trainer at the local gym who helps Jason learn how to fight as a favor to Walter. Nick is a local legend.

• ANNOUNCER – Fight announcer and referee.

• FATHER – Alcoholic and abusive father towards Walter.

• YOUNG WALTER – Flashback version of Walter.

• CODY – Show boating fighter who knows martial arts. (Must be able to complete flips or find similar body double)

• SAMSON – Ricardo’s top fighter and a fan favorite. (Must be a muscular man)

• DOORMAN – Works the door to the underground fighting scene. He knows Walter, but is not a big fan.

• RICARDO’S BODYGUARDS – Silent tough mob that are willing to protect Ricardo at any cost.

• EXTRAS – We are going to need multiple extras for a coffee shop and mulitple fight scenes. We do need some business attired men and women for the fight scenes as well as “average joe fight fans”. Also need some extras training in a gym for the training scenes.

NOTE: Experience in mixed martial arts, boxing, kick boxing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, etc., for the roles of Jason, Walter, Cody, and Samson is a plus, but not necessarily required. Cast will attend training sessions and script read through. All ages must be over 21 and able to look the part, with exception of young Walter. Jason and Walter may be casted based on likeness.

These are not paid roles, but credit and DVD will be given.

Open Audition for the Horror Film “I Love You To Death”

The producers of Zombie Apocalypse: Redemption are casting actors and extras for the horror film, “I Love You To Death”. Open auditions are being held in Redford on July 16th. Film shoots between July 27th – July 31st. (Not all characters will be needed for all days.)

“I Love You To Death” (one of six segments) is a ‘be careful what you wish for’ tale with a twist. When high schooler Brian casts a love spell on the girl of his dreams, he unwillingly sends his life into a deadly downward spiral.

• Lisa: Female late teens or early 20’s, to look younger. Mean girl who is best friends w/ Courtney.

• Jane: Female Caucasian 40s-­‐50s, preferably athletic/fit. Single mother to Brian who she treats younger than he is.

• Lori: female 40s – 50s. Jane’s single friend, one liner with screen time.

• Librarian: female 40s and up. Works at the high school. She’s very matter-of-fact.

• Tim: male 30s and up. Grave digger against his will by supernatural forces.

• Also casting several important one liners and extras. Males and females in their late teens to early 20’s, to play high schoolers.

Casting Actors for the Film “One”

“One” is a short film being produced in Ann Arbor about “a curious, magic dollar bill that escapes from a suburban bank and sets off on a dangerous journey to see the world.” Both stop‐motion and vfx will be employed to bring the bill to life.

The film will be shot throughout Southeastern Michigan. The exact schedule for shooting will be determined in the coming weeks, but expect to work on the weekend of August 20‐21.

• ROSEMARY HELMS: Rosemary is the ornery older woman who hates small bills, but inadvertently helps the dollar on its journey. Looking for an actress that can portray someone in her late 60s – early 70s.

• BANK TELLER (Voice Acting Role): Looking for a male actor that can portray someone in his early 20s.

• POST OFFICE TELLER (Voice Acting Role): Looking for a female actor that can portray someone in her 30s.

• ATM MAN (Voice Acting Role): Looking for a male actor that can portray someone in his early 50s.

• LIZZY’S DAD (Voice Acting Role): Looking for a male actor that can portray someone in his late 30s.

Compensation:

This film is a low‐budget project, so the job will be unpaid, but expect to have a great experience with a talented crew that are motivated to tell a compelling story. This film is planned to be shown at many venues, including film festivals. Also, all actors involved in the project will get DVDs of the film and an on‐screen credit.

Reminder: Open Extras Casting is Approaching

Just a reminder that the open extras casting call for the feature film, “The Avengers” is approaching. The open calls will be held on July 15th and July 16th in Cleveland, OH.

The production will be the largest feature film ever made in Ohio, as well as the largest Marvel Studios production to date. Pre-production is already underway with principal photography scheduled from April through September 2011. “The Avengers” stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson.
