What’s up you beautiful humans! I’m Rocky Wallace a singer/ songwriter / podcaster and mental health activist from a little town no one’s ever heard of in Michigan. My journey in music is a life long one so I’ll spare you all the boring details and get right to the good stuff. I trained as a classical singer for most of my life then switched to Gospel for a short period before rooting in pop music. I find influence in every genera and every era. I grew up listening to Stevie Nicks, Carlos Santana, and Aretha Franklin. I fell in love with Amy Winehouse and the vulnerability of her lyrics and how she blended the old with the new. Someone once told me the best compliment they ever received was when a fan told them, ‘you sound like you.’ I just try to be myself in my music and tell my truth the good, the bad and the beautiful. I’ve played shows all over the mid-west and east cost. At the end of 2019 my song, “Center of Gravity,” was featured as the end title track for the animated movie, “Arctic Dogs,” which was trending on Netflix at #2 for 3 weeks in 2020. In 2020 I released my song, “Rise,” on all digital platforms. In January 2021 I sang the National Anthem for the Detroit Pistons. I am the co-host of the podcast, “The Nooner Show,” along with my mama, Jackie Wallace, my “real mom” Nora Mitchell, and my aunt Gina Guccini. With over 200 shows under our belt, we interview people of all walks of life – the only commonality between them is the leap they took to pursue their passion. I’m very outspoken about being apart of the movement to erase the stigma surrounding mental health. I’m vocal about my own journey toward mental fitness and sharing what I’ve learned through my personal experiences. My mission is to spread a message of self love and empowerment by all means necessary! When we are filled with love for ourselves we are empowered to take on the world. I want to create a community where people feel accepted, respected, and loved no matter cycle of life they’re walking through! ✌️ Rocky Wallace
