Auditions for a Non-union Short Film

We are casting 8 roles for a short non-union film. Auditions will be held on September 6th in Detroit, MI. All ethnicities are welcomed. We are looking for high school students and teenagers to fill these roles.

Available Roles:

• Rick: (Lead) Teen – A easy kind of guy, not scary but shy. On the verge of his first girlfriend.

• Warren: Teen – The oldest of the three. Mostly the decision maker of the three, more serious than the other two.

• Jabo: Teen – The silly one of the three, always teasing and joking.

• Dee: Teen – Jabo’s girlfriend, wild and loud.

• Cat: Teen – Dees’s girlfriend, smooth and level headed.

• Double T: (Villain) Gang leader, always looking for trouble

• Terry: Teen – Bully, mean streak, and loves a fight.

• Tyra: Teen – Very classy, shy, polite, and a bit tom boyish.

Compensation:

There is no monetary compensation, but actors will receive credit and as well as a copy for their reels.

Indie Feature Film Casting Call

An independent feature film production is looking to cast two African American females. Both roles will require one 6 hour day in one location in Grand Rapids. Weekday or weekend, yet to be determined. Shooting takes place in the next four weeks.

Available Roles:

• Bartender: Age 40-70, African American

• Victim of Domestic Abuse: Age 20-40, African American

Actress Needed for Goth Girl Role

Re-casting mischievous Goth Girl for family-oriented short feature. Will be working with another Goth Girl so I will be looking for “best friend” naturalness. Role will have about 10-15 lines, 6-10 minutes screen time. Set in present day London, Ontario. Shooting primary footage in Oakland County all night September 18th.

Available Roles:

• Goth Girl: (age 18-25) On the smaller side (petite), average height. Must look 16-17.

Compensation:

This is not a paid position but you will receive small cash upfront and deferred percentage based on revenue flow. You will also receive food and snacks.

Auditions for “Perks” Web TV Show

Auditions for lead roles and bit parts are being held for the web series “Perks”. Looking for male and female actors ages 20-35. Film experience is preferable, but not required.

Plot:

“Perks” is a web series giving the viewer a unique behind the counter view of the people who dedicate their lives to serving you your morning coffee. Featuring an eccentric staff, local coffee shop owner, Max, struggles to keep his business and personal life afloat, while his employees and loyal patrons adjust to the natural ebb and flow of life.

Casting for the Short Film “Atria”

Casting for the short film, “Atria”. This film is being produced by Grauman Motion Pictures, LLC. The casting call will be held on Thursday, September 1st from 4:00pm – 9:00pm and Friday, September 2nd from 1:00pm – 5:00pm at the Wisner-Bottrall Applied Technology Center at Grand Rapids Community College, 151 Fountain NE Room 122. Several seasonal changes occur in this film. Therefore, actors must be available for shooting during the following months: one day in October, 2-3 days in January, and 2-3 days in late Feb or early March.

Plot:

Alena is a child always searching for adventure. When she enters a new door in her attic without thinking, she becomes trapped in a new reality she would much rather forget.

Available Roles:

• Alena: (principle role) Caucasian female, age 6-10. Preferably looks younger than her age. Alena is a wide eyed little girl with medium to long hair who fancies herself brave. Thin, natural build, with the energy and ability to run. Must be able to portray a range of facial expressions and emotions. Previous acting experience is preferred. Twins are encouraged, but not necessary.

• Alena Creature: Caucasian female, age 6-10. Preferably looks younger. The Alena Creature is a variation of the principal Alena character. Size and look is dependent on the casting of the character of Alena. No allergies to latex or opposition to full facial makeup and/or blood. Again, twins are encouraged but not necessary.

• Mother/Tree Keeper: Caucasian female, age 20s to 40s. This is a dual character role. Thin and taller, with preferably long dark hair. No allergies to latex, and oppositions to full facial makeup or acrylic nails. When applying for this role, please indicate height.

Compensation:

No monetary pay due to small production size. Resume booster and guaranteed IMDB page/page update at film’s first festival submission.

Casting two female actresses for short 10-15 minute film. The film will be shot on Saturday, September 3rd. If chosen you will be emailed the script on Monday and need to learn it by Saturday, it’s not too long so it shouldn’t be that bad.

• 2 Female Actresses: (age 18-23) Caucasian, slender, average looking or pretty.
