Casting Call for Short Video

I am directing a promotional video for a debut novel written by a young, up-and-coming Michigan author in Ann Arbor on Saturday, April 14 and in Okemos on Sunday, April 15. The video itself will be about a minute long and each role should expect anywhere between 15-30 seconds of screen time plus several lines of dialogue.

Available Roles:

• Detective: Male, ages 50-65, disgruntled, temperamental
• Mother: Female, mid 20′s to early 30′s, brown hair (preferred)
• Daughter: Female, ages 6-8, cute as a button. Some simple spoken lines but nothing too taxing.

NOTE: In an ideal world, I would like the two female roles to be an actual mother and daughter duo but am willing to work with otherwise. If I get a mother-daughter duo, those scenes will be shot in the Ann Arbor area. If not, those scenes will be shot in Okemos. All other scenes will be shot in Ann Arbor.

Compensation:

All roles are unpaid but they are a great opportunity to gain exposure as part of a heavily featured promotional piece of a much larger marketing plan.
